The Recurring dream

IMPORTANT QUESTIONS

THE RECURRING DREAM

1.why do you think is the reason some people have recurring dreams?

-According to the famous psychiatrist Sigmund Freud, the reason why people have recurring dreams has been described by the network of Id, ego and superego. I personally think this to be true. According to Freud, Our mind is divided into Id ( un-conscious), ego ( sub-conscious) and super ego ( conscious).

Id deals with meeting your basic needs. It has a only pleasure principle that I want it and I want it now. Ego deals with the reality and the real world. Ego's job is to get the Id's pleasures met and in the same time being reasonable and bearing the long term consequences in mind. Superego is that state of mind which deals with parental and social values. It stores and enforces rules. When a person has certain wishes- Eg:- a car, a big house, a physical relationship with someone he likes, his Id (unconscious mind) is functioning. However his  needs and wants are compromised by ego and superego because these needs might not be reasonable in one hand and in the other hand against the rules of the society and moral principles. Because of this the person hides his needs and wishes to himself.

However the person's wishes have to be fulfilled as per the greedy state of mind- the Id. So the only possible way for him to fulfill his wishes is either to go against the societal principle or to have it fulfilled in an other way. The only other way for him to have his wishes fulfilled without being social awkward and unwanted is to dream it. Dreams act as a pathway for the person to fulfill his greedy wishes without anyone knowing and the person feels satisfied. In this way, I think Dreams are the pathways for fulfilling the hidden wishes, and desires of a person that are not practical and immoral.

2. Write about a dream you saw recently.Do you think your dream has a connection to your real life?

 - All of a sudden, I wake up. Its 6:30 already and I am still in my bed. I have an exam at 7. I jump out of my bed in a great rush, and start to run. I don't know where I am going. I don't know why I don't have my school uniform on. I don't know which subject's test, I am going to appear. I don't know anything except the fact that I have my exams at 7 and I have to run. The road is empty, Its a clear-straight road. I am running but I don't understand where I am going. The clock is tick-toking and  with every tick, my heart is pounding faster. I am restlessly running. My exam center does not appear any where. I am running and I have to. Finally I see a school. I do not know if this is it but i enter inside. It seems that the exam has started. Blood rushes through my spine, I get red, I run toward a class that's first in my sight. But there is nobody I know. I do not see my friends. I am worried. I do not know what to do.......

This is the my recent dream and I really think there is a connection of my dream with my real life. As my exams are approaching, I think the stress about my exam has led me to this dream. I think I am too stressed about my exam and therefore I had this dream.

NOTE
In the question is has been asked about a dream you 'saw' recently. However you do not see a dream. You just dream a dream. So the word 'saw' in the question is regarded grammatically incorrect. So I advise you not to write like this ' I saw a dream recently' instead of ' I had a dream recently'.
